The Funeral & Bereavement Ministry and the Sick & Homebound Ministry are part of pastoral care at Resurrection Parish. Pastoral care involves providing emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals navigating illness (short and long term), life transitions, and grief. This support is provided through listening, providing advice, and being present. Resurrection Parish and the Sick & Homebound/Funeral & Bereavement Ministries are available for your families and you! We are planning to expand our pastoral care in these areas. So, what’s needed? Sick & Homebound Ministry – provides Eucharist and emotional support during short-term and long-term illness
Notify us of individuals needing our support – Resurrection Parish support is not limited by being a parishioner or the length of illness
Volunteers to visit the sick and homebound (short term or long term)
Volunteers to provide Eucharist to the sick and homebound (short term or long term)
Funeral & Bereavement Ministry – provides assistance in Funeral/Memorial Mass planning and emotional support during grieving/bereavement.
Funeral planning is available – Resurrection Parish support is not limited by being a parishioner or by religion
Volunteers to assist with Funeral Planning/Masses
Training will be provided. Commit to as little or as much time as you can!
